Assign Owners to the Decisions That Matter
Project clarity comes from named decisions. Build a compact responsibility matrix that gives every release-critical item a buyer owner, contributor and approver. Avoid assigning broad labels such as “content team” without a contact and authority level.
- Name the authority for content permissions and approved source files.
- Name the owner of the device-and-bundle specification.
- Name the owner of retail language, packaging claims and artwork release.
- Name the importer or market owner for destination-specific questions.
- Name the person who can authorise final shipment after evidence is reconciled.
A supplier can contribute production inputs and flag changes, but should receive only the latest approved package. The map gives them a reliable route for questions and protects the buyer from unapproved instructions arriving from multiple stakeholders.
